Installing wallpapers on your iPhone

A short tutorial on how to download and set wallpapers on your Apple iPhone.

The iPhone's been the talk of the town (the whole planet actually) ever since Steve Jobs unveiled it in the Apple WWDC conference back in 2007. With so many purchasers going for it only for the "in" factor, it's not surprising not very many consumers are actually aware of the mobile phone's many features.

In this tutorial we'll show you how to exploit one of the iPhone's simplest features - installing and setting wallpapers. If you've got your hands of one of the many o2 phones in the market before (o2 by the way is said to be the main player behind iPhone's 3G feature), this shouldn't be too hard.

1. Select and download your wallpaper of choice

Choose any wallpaper from our website. To get you started: some of the iPhone wallpaper in the iPhone wallpaper top 50 are great. Download the image by right clicking (command-click on a Mac) on the full-size image and select "save image as" or click the download button and save the image that way.

Now you have the file on your own computer. This is first step, pretty easy right? You can repeat this step for all the wallpapers you want so you can sync them in one go in the next step.

2. Sync the images to your iPhone

Connect your iPhone to your Mac or PC by opening iTunes and selecting the folder you saved the wallpapers in. Select wich wallpapers you want to sync or just select all wallpapers.

3. Activate the wallpaper on your iPhone

Go to the photo section of your iPhone and browse trough all your photos until you find the wallpaper you want to use as a background. Select/view the image so you see it in full screen and tap the icon on the lower left corner of the iPhone screen and select "Use as Wallpaper".

You are all done! Lock your iPhone to admire your new wallpaper.
